Valerie Jennings Named Direct Marketing News’ 2018 40Under40 Honoree

The team at Jennings Social Media Marketing + Viral Bolt Media is proud to announce that Valerie Jennings, our founder and CEO, has been named a 2018 Direct Marketing News Top 40Under40 Honoree! These prestigious awards are designed to recognize digital marketing leaders who have excelled in their marketing careers at a young age. The awards ceremony will take place on November 6, 2018 at the Dream Hotel in New York City. Read on as we detail more about Valerie’s contributions to the digital marketing sector.

An early adopter of social media, Valerie founded Jennings Social Media Marketing (JSMM) in 2003 at the age of 24, founding a second creative agency, Viral Bolt Media (VBM), in 2012. As a business leader in the Kansas City area, Valerie has worked diligently to position her two agencies for rapid growth through early adoption of marketing technologies. Specifically, her agencies focus on lead generation and sales for publicly traded to start-up companies around the world. In addition to her Kansas City headquarters, Valerie opened two satellite offices in Irvine, California, and Miami Beach, Florida, to support the coastal growth in technology, automotive, luxury real estate, travel and more.

Valerie struck a grateful tone when told about the award, saying, “I’m deeply honored to be selected as one of the 40 honorees this year. I’m very passionate about the digital marketing industry and the contributions I have made as a business leader, entrepreneur and early adopter of social media. I’d like to thank Direct Marketing News for this prestigious recognition.”

Recognized throughout the digital marketing community, the DMN 40Under40 Awards seek to honor the next generation of marketing leaders across brands, agencies and vendors who are not only succeeding but also excelling in their marketing careers at a young age.

When asked about the selection process, the editors at Direct Marketing News offered some insight, saying, “We searched high and low to find 40 of the best, most accomplished, high-level superstars in the business of marketing — all under the age of 40. This was no easy task. The competition was fierce.”

This is not the first honor bestowed upon Valerie, who has also been recognized as a Kansas City’s Most Wanted Honoree 2015 and Most Influential Woman in Business Class of 2014. Most recently, JSMM+VBM successfully met the requirements of the NWBOC National Certification Program for certification as a woman-owned and woman-controlled business.
