JSMM Project Profile: Luxury Candle Manufacturer’s Revenue Increases 24 Percent Due to Digital Marketing Efforts

JSMM was retained by a luxury candle manufacturer to enhance its ecommerce and social media strategies. The program was meant to step up sales and it did with a 24 percent revenue increase from 2014-2015. Now, the relationship with the client has evolved and the agency is driving all offers, sales items, eCommerce programs, email marketing, social media and photoshoots.

Luxury candle company who has prided itself on beautiful, artisan, handcrafted candles of exceptional quality for over 50 years. Their tapers have graced the tables at the White House, Lincoln Center, and The Waldorf Astoria; have been featured in Martha Stewart Living magazine and are carried by the finest, most distinguished retailers, hotels and restaurants.

Challenge:

Sales for the company had predominantly been from the wholesale side and eCommerce sales had plateaued due to outdated technology and strategy. The company desired a fresh, new strategy to allow it to target consumers directly and build up the B2C side of its business.

How:

JSMM successfully implemented custom strategies and creative offers to increase the company’s B2C eCommerce business through social media and email marketing. JSMM even aided in transitioning the company to a new eCommerce platform, which enhanced UX, and increased promotional offers and sales. The team has been pitching ideas and feeding products to key industry influencers and high profile designers, all of which have escalated business. Additionally, photo shoots with designers of stunning tablescapes and wedding shots featuring the company’s luxury candles have lit up the web and have enticed bloggers to reach out to request product, all transpiring into increased revenue.

Result:

To date, JSMM is the only vendor driving revenue for this luxury candle company and manages all of the creative behind the offers and promotional ideas, and connections with customers through social and email marketing. Revenue is up 24 percent from 2014 – 2015, while the industry is only growing at a rate of four percent, as a result of continued efforts between the company’s CEO and the JSMM team. According to the company’s CEO, traffic for January is up and sales have already seen a 10 percent jump this month compared to last January, along with international orders trickling in from search marketing efforts.
